We're so excited to hold our fourth VBS (Vacation Bible School)! It will be from July 17-21 from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at the Church Office. Dinner will be provided at no cost to the volunteers. We will be eating with the kids.

Volunteer Roles Information below:
Our first option is to be a Group Leader. You would be assigned to a group of kids and stay with them throughout the whole program (i.e. If you're assigned to 1st/2nd Grade Group, you will stay with them the whole week). You and the other volunteers in your group will watch the kids, manage any needs (bathroom, water, etc.) and help them engage with the content - doing hand motions with them at worship time, asking what they learned after hearing the Bible story, assisting them in making their crafts, getting them excited for the games, etc.
The call time will be 5:00 pm to help with set up and to pray for the day, and we also ask you stay to help clean up after all the kids have left.
We are also still seeking volunteers to help in 3 specific roles - teaching the Bible story, leading the craft time and leading the game/snack time. We will have this content and supplies already prepared, but we are looking for enthusiastic souls to lead the kids and give instruction. These 3 stations will take place during an hour and a half rotation time, so you will lead your specific station (teach the Bible story, instruct the craft, or instruct the game) 3 times for 30 minutes each. Volunteers for these roles will not be assigned to a specific group of kids, you will only manage your station.
We are aiming to have:
- At least 4 Group Leaders per 10 kids in a group
- 3-6 Bible story teachers - 1-2 for each age group (PreK-K, 1st - 2nd grade, 3rd - 4th grade) to teach all 5 days. It's helpful to have a buddy to teach with or split the days with!
- 3 Craft leaders and 3 Game leaders for all 5 days
There will be a volunteer training/work day, where we will go over the VBS content, guidelines for working with children, and to help prepare for VBS - such as putting together name tags, organizing the craft supplies for each day, making decorations for our theme to put up in the office, etc. This will take place Sunday, July 13, after service at the Church Office. Please save that date, and lunch will be included.
