PURPOSE
Seeds of Life exists for the sole purpose of magnifying Jesus Christ through the uncompromised teaching of His Word.
We desire to gather people to passionately seek Jesus Christ and commit all to live for His glory.
MISSION
God has called us to evangelistically preach the gospel to the lost and to exhort believers to pursue hard after Jesus Christ.
1. Evangelism:
We host evangelistic crusades which include worship, special music, and a message followed by an altar call. We place great emphasis upon caring for new believers by connecting them with local churches.
2. Edification:
We encourage believers to passionately live for God’s glory by gathering with the body of Christ to worship Him through prayer, repentance, and the teaching of His Word.
CORE VALUES
Fueled by the conviction that life’s purpose is to glorify God through intimate fellowship with Jesus Christ, we are calling people to a Christ-centered life of discipleship by submitting to the purposes of God. 1 Cor. 1:9; 1 Cor. 2:2; Col. 1:28; Matt. 28:19-20
We are committed to the uncompromised teaching of God’s Word because it is fully inspired of the Holy Spirit, completely inerrant, and sufficient for new birth as well as for maturing in sanctification. 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Ps. 119:160; 1 Pet. 1:23; John 17:17
We believe worship is to be God-exalting, leading us into His intimate presence. As worshippers, we purposefully seek to decrease so Jesus Christ may increase in glory. John 3:30; 4:23; Ps. 29:2
We depend upon the power of the Holy Spirit for the conviction of sin and for the continual transformation into godly lives. Therefore, we do not strive in the flesh nor trust in human philosophies. John 16:7-8; Ezek 36:26-27; Zech. 4:6; Col. 2:8
We are convinced of the vital role of the Church in ministry. Therefore, we are committed to supporting and partnering with the local church. Eph. 1:22; Col. 1:18; 1 Tim. 5:17
BELIEFS
We believe in the complete inspiration of Scripture. The Bible is the authoritative, living, and inerrant Word of God. We believe Scripture has the ability to sanctify believers in becoming disciples. 2 Tim. 3:16; Matt. 24:35; Prov. 30:5; John 17:17; Matt. 28:19-20
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. Jesus provided for the atonement of sin by His death upon the cross, was bodily resurrected, and will return again to establish His kingdom on earth. John 1:1,14; Heb. 7:26; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Eph. 1:20; Rev. 19:11-16
We believe the Holy Spirit possesses attributes of a person while being entirely divine. We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Jesus Christ and to empower believers for works of ministry. Eph. 4:30; Acts 5:3-4; John 16:14; Acts 1:8
We believe man was made for the purpose of glorifying God through intimate fellowship with Him. By nature, man is separated from God due to sin. Eternal life only comes through believing Jesus Christ is the risen Savior, repenting of sinful lifestyles, and choosing to follow Him as a disciple. Col. 1:16; Gen. 1:26; Ro 3:23; John 3:16; Rom. 10:9
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Seeds of Life Ministries began as a small verse-by-verse Bible study led by Kyle Shimazaki. In 1998 God opened an exciting opportunity for Kyle to host an evangelistic crusade at a South Bay high school. This became the first Seeds of Life Crusade.
Today, fueled by a passion to see lives transformed into the image of Christ, Seeds of Life has ministered to thousands through evangelistic crusades, Bible conferences, and prayer and worship gatherings.
Kyle Shimazaki is the founder of Seeds of Life Ministries. With his passion for Christ and an uncompromised approach to teaching the Word of God, he calls people to a life of pursuing hard after God. Kyle and his wife Carolyn along with their three children reside in Monterey Park.
